Clinical Study on High Tibial Osteotomy Combined with Topical Application of Zijindan in the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis Complicated with Genu Varum/HUANG Xiaopeng， XIONG Longjiang. //Medical Innovation of China，2025，22（17）： 089-093

[Abstract]Objective：To investigate the clinical efectof high tibial osteotomy（HTO）combined with topical application of Zijindan in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis （KOA）complicated with genu varum.Method： A total of 8O patients with KOAcomplicated with genu varum admited to Jiangxi Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from January 2O18 to October 2023 were selected and divided into the control group （n=4O）and the observation group （n=4O） according to the random number table method.The observation group was treated with HTO combined with topical application of Zijindan，and the control group only received HTO.Theclinical eficacy，knee jointfunction[range of motion （ROM）of the knee joint and Lysholm knee joint score]， pain degre [visual analogue scale （VAS）]， hospital stayandbone healing time of the two groups were compared.Result： The total clinical efective rateof theobservation group was higherthan thatof the control group， thedifferencewasstatistically significant（ P <0.05）.The ROM of theknee joint6 monthsafter the operation inthe observationgroup was greaterthan that inthecontrol group，and the Lysholmknee joint score was higherthan that in the control group，the differences were statistically significant P <0.05）. The VAS score 1 month after the operation of the observation group was lower than that of the control group，the difference was statistically significant （ P <0.05）. The hospital stayand bone healing time inthe observation group were shorter than those in the control group，the differences were statistically significant （ P <0.05）. Conclusion： HTO combined with topical application of Zijindan in the treatment of KOA complicated with genu varumcan significantly improve the clinical eect，effectively improve the knee joint function，relieve postoperative pain，shorten the hospital stay，and accelerate bone healing.
