Effects of Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion on Vertebral Stability and Long-term Prognosis in Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation/XIONG Zhipeng， GAO Yong，RAO Fangping.//Medical Innovation of China，2025，22（17）： 093-096

[Abstract]Objective：To investigate the clinical effect of posterior lumbar interbody fusion （PLIF） inthe treatment of patients with lumbar disc herniation （LDH）.Method：A total of 4O patients with LDHadmitted to Pingxiang NO.2 People's Hospitalfrom January2O21 to July2023 were selectedas the research objects，andalof them were given PLIF.Theperioperative indicators，vertebral stability，complications，curative effect，long-term prognosis and qualityof lifeof the patients were recorded.Result：Theoperation time，intraoperative blood loss， incisionlength，hospital stayand the incidenceofcomplicationswere 96.49±12.34 ）min， （171.62±16.84 mL， （9.82±1.12） cm， [8.87±1.25 d and 17.50% （7/40），respectively.3 months after the operation，the patients' vertebral slipand Cobb angle were smaller than thosebefore operation（ P <0.05）.Therewasno significant difference inthe heightof intervertebral space between the patients 3 months after theoperation and before operation （ P >0.05）. 6 monthsaftertheoperation，the total efective rateof4O patients was97.50%（39/40）.1yearaftertheoperation，the Oswestry disability index （ODI） scores and the visual analogue scale （VAS）scores of the patients were lower than those before the operation，and the Japanese orthopaedic assciation （JOA） score was higher than that before the operation（P<0.o5）.3 months after the operation，each dimension scoresof the short form 36 （SF-36）of the patients were higher than those before the operation （P<0.05） .Conclusion：PLIFin the treatment of patientswithLDH，with significant curative effectand controllablecomplications.Itcan efectively improve patient'svertebral stabilityand lumbar vertebral function，relieve pain，and improve the quality of life.
