Application of Specialized Nursing for High-risk Aspiration Assessment in Patients Undergoing Mechanical Ventilation in the ICU/HUANG Chenghua，YU Xianfeng， SUN Qing.//Medical Innovation of China，2025，22（17）： 076-080

[Abstract] Objective： To explore the effect of specialized nursing for high-risk aspiration assessment in patients receiving mechanical ventilation in intensive care unit （ICU）.Method：A total of 8O patients who underwent mechanical ventilationintheICUof GanzhouPeople's Hospital from June2O21to October 2024 were selected，and theywere divided into thecontrol group （conventional nursing intervention）and theexperimental group（specialized nursing for high-risk aspiration assessment onthe basis of conventional nursing）according to therandom number table method，with 4O cases ineach group.The levels of knowledge，atitude and practiceof nurses before nursing and one week after nursing were compared.The clinical indicators，incidence ofcomplications and patient satisfactionrate of thetwo groups were also compared.Result：After1 week of nursing，the scores of the dimensions of knowledge， attitudeand behavior on aspiration prevention of nurses were higher than those before the nursing（ P <0.05）.The lengthof ICUstay，mechanical ventilation timeandtotalhospital stayinthe experimental group wereallshorter than those in the control group （ P <0.05）. The incidences of aspiration and aspiration pneumonia in the experimental group were both lower than those in the control group （ P <0.05）. The total satisfaction rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group （ P⋅ <0.05）.Conclusion： The implementation of specialized nursing for high-risk aspirationassssment inpatients undergoing mechanical ventilation intheICUcan efectively improve the knowledge， atitudeand behavioral levelofnurses inaspirationprevention，shortenthe hospital stayof patients，reduce the incidences of aspiration and aspiration pneumonia，and enhance the nursing satisfaction of patients.
