Correlation between dual deficiency of qi and yin and ferroptosis in the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy

[Abstract]Diabeticretinopathy（DR）isacommon microvascularcomplicationof diabetesandoneof theleading causes ofblindnessindiabeticpatientsModernresearchindicatesthatferroptosisiscloselyassciatedwiththepathogenesisofDR， withitscoremechanismsinvolvingironmetabolismdisorder，lipidperoxidation，andantioxidantsystemimbalance.InChinese medicine（CM），dualdeficiencyofqiandyinisrecognizedasthecorepathogenesisofwastingandthirstdisorderandits complicationofeyedisorders.Prolongedwastingandthirstdisordercomsumesqianddamagesyin.Qideficiencyresultsin insuffcientpropelingpower，whileyindeficiencycausesafailureinnourishingandmoisteningfunctions.Consequently，the normalcirculationanddistributionofqi，blood，andbodyfluidsbecomedisrupted，whichisreferedtoasqi-blood-fluid dysregulationconstitutingacriticalpathologicalprocessintheoccurenceandprogressionofDR.Thetheoryof"qi-bloodfluiddysregulation"exhibitssubstantialmaterialandpathologicaloverlapwithferoptosismechanisms.Groundedinthecore pathogenesisofdualdeficiencyofqiandyinthepaperexploresitsroleintrigeringqi-blood-fluiddysregulationanduses thisrelationshipasabridgetoelucidatethemechanismofactionofferoptosisinDR.Italsorevealstheintrinsiccoection amongdualdeficiencyofqiandyin，qi-blood-fluiddysregulation，andferoptosis，summarizeskeyfactorsinvolvedin regulatingferroptosisinDR，andidentifiesactiveingredientsofChinesemedicinesandCMformulastargetingferoptosis， imingtoprovidea theoretical framework for CM-basedprevention and treatment of DR.

糖尿病视网膜病变（diabeticretinopathy，DR）是糖尿病最常见的微血管并发症之一，以视网膜血管通透性增加、缺血缺氧及病理性新生血管形成为特征，眼底早期可出现微动脉瘤、点状积血及硬性渗出，晚期可发展为黄斑水肿、玻璃体积血甚至视网膜脱离。（剩余13995字）
