Selection and Analysis of Measurement Points for Antenna OrthogonalityMeasurementBasedonLaser Tracker

Abstract: [Purposes] When using alaser tracker to measure the orthogonality of an antenna,improper selection of measurement points can directly affect the orthogonality value.Therefore,it is particularly urgent to study the influence of measurement point selection on the measurement results.[Methods] This paper takes a turntable-mounted antenna as an example, with measurement points at different positions as the research objects.First,the principle and method of measuring antenna orthogonality with a laser tracker are introduced.Second,mechanical analysis of the antenna's measurement points under dierent orientations is conducted based on finite element software.[Findings]The analysis shows that during orthogonality measurement,a single measurement point can only reflect the motion trajectory of that specific point on the antenna.Thus,a method for selecting multiple measurement points based on structural characteristics is proposed.[Conclusions] The results of this study provide practical engineering guidance for measuring antenna orthogonality using a laser tracker.
