Abstract：Heaven and Earth Nurture Virtuous Man by Xu Zhaoshou inherits the core spirit ofthe image of virtuous men inancient China，which deply interpretsthemorallogicand philosophicalconnotationsof theimageofcontemporary virtuous men through systematic theoretical reconstruction，demonstrating itsunique value in the context of contemporary ethics.Firstof all，bydrawing on the image of virtuous men with morality and position in traditional Confucianism， Heaven and Earth Nurture Virtuous Men directly addresses the current social moral dilemmas，and further reconstructs a paradigm of virtuous men ethics that mets the neds of contemporary society. In adition，it analyzes the ideological foundationof the way of contemporary virtuous men from the perspectives of“Tao operates naturally”，“harmony between men and nature”and“the doctrineof the mean”，thus revealing its inherent rationalityand universalapplicability. Last but not least，taking thecontemporary interpretation of the spirit of virtuous men as astarting point，the author combines its ethical value with global governance issues，providing important theoretical support for theconstruction ofa community with a shared future for mankind.
