The design practice of children’s parks in Urumqi based on the concept of nature education

AbstractThe application principles of the concept of nature education in the design of children’s parks were analyzed，taking thechildren’spark in Urumqi astheresearch object，andthe strategies for creating its nature education space were explored.The design principles of children's parks based on the concept of nature education mainlyinclude creating anatural exploration environmentsuitable forarid climatesand strengthening terraindesign and plant configuration.Highlight thecontentof ecological education and buildasystematic environmental interpretation system;design multi-level interactivenatural experience facilities to meet thedevelopment needsofchildrenof diffrentage groups;emphasize theorganic integrationofregional cultureand nature education，highlighting regional characteristics.The landscape design of theresearch area adopts anatural curve form，dividing it into theentrance comprehensive leisure area，the dynamic science popularization park area，the five-sense experience area，the waterfront science popularization experience area，the dense forestadventure area and the agricultural activity experiencearea.In terms of plant configuration，evergreenplantsare takenas the base，and deciduous trees and flowering shrubs areappropriatelyadded to enrich the seasonal changes.Thedesign of ecosystem science popularization facilitiesshould takeinto accountthe inheritance ofregional culture，ecologicalfriendliness andchildren’sadaptability， andtransform local traditionalpatterns，folk talesandother cultural symbolsinto interactive featuresof science popularization facilities.Combine thespatial layout designof the children’spark to createavarietyof interpretation media.This article provides a reference for promoting the innovative development of children’s park design.
