Research on the current situation of forest resources and the layout of forest management zoning in Tianping Mountain Scenic Area of Suzhou City

AbstractThe current status of forest resources and the necesity of forest management in the Tianping Mountain ScenicArea of Suzhou City were analyzed.On this basis，combined with thenatural topographyand landforms，forest resource structure and ecological location characteristicsof the study area，the study area was zoned and planed from the perspective of forest classification management.Ecological principles and sustainable management concepts were applied to design management measures and propose planning strategies.The results showed that the forest coverage rate in the studyarea was relativelyhigh，with large areas of public welfare forests，tree forests andartificial forests. However，there were problems intheexisting forest resources such as single stand structure，unbalancedage groupratio and insufficient landscape efect.Strengthen the tendingand management of existing forest resources，enrich the diversityof regional forest vegetation，andaddress the predicamentof forestmanagement.Theresearch area is divided into seven management zones，including the northern coniferous tree soil and water conservation forest management zone，thecentral characteristic forestry development composite management zone，and the central stone forest characteristic landscape greening management zone.Based on the characteristics of each management area，it is proposed to implement tending and thinning for the existing pure Massn pine forests，replanting broad-leaved tree species underthe trees，conducting light transmission feling for dense young forests，implementing growth fellng for midde-aged forests，and adjusting the growth space of trees，in order tooptimize the forest resource structure in the study area，improve forestquality，andachieve sustainable forest development.Thisarticle provides areference for sustainable forest management with similar natural resources.

森林经营区划是将森林资源、立地条件、经营目标相同的林分划分为同一个经营区，再针对各经营区制订并实施相应的森林经营措施，从而实现林地生产力的最大化利用，以更好地发挥经济、生态和社会效益。（剩余5759字）
