Effects of mixed spraying application of 3% diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate .27% ethephon and zinc sulfate on the growth of summer maize

AbstractTo investigate the regulatory effects of mixed application of 3% diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate·27% ethephonand zincsulfate onsummer maize,Hanyu 398 was usedas the experimental material.5 fertlization treatments weresetup:FO(nofertilization),F1(conventionalcompoundfertilizer),F2(sulfur-coatedslow/controlled-release compound fertilizer),F3(urea-formaldehydeslow/controlld-releasecompoundfertilizer),andF4(polymer-coatedslow/ controlled-releasecompound fertilizer).3spray treatments wereapplied:PO (spraying with clear water),P1 (spraying with 3% diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate·27% ethephon),and P2 (spraying with 3% diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate‘ 27% (20 ethephon + zinc sulfate).The effects of each treatment on plant traits,ear traits,and yield of summer maize were analyzed.Theresultsshowedthat,acrossallfertilization treatments,compared withPO,Plreduced plantheight,ear height,100-kernel weight,and kernelnumber perearby3.0-14.6cm,3.0-12.3cm,2.5-15.0g,and3.1-59.5grains, respectively,while yield was reduced by1.5%-18.9%.In contrast,compared with P1,P2 increased plant height,ear height,1000-kernel weight,and kernel number perearby1.0-14.5cm,1.5-10.5cm,0.5-16.0g,and4.4-40.8 grains, respectively,while yield was increased by 1.2%-17.9% .In conclusion,it was demonstrated that the combined application of 3% diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate·27% ethephon and zinc sulfate could achieve better chemical control effectsinmaize cultivation.
