Application Effects of Organic Water-Soluble Fertilizer from Chinese Medicine Residue on Tomato

Abstract： A new fruit tomato variety“Yanyu”was used as the experimental material to study the effcts of an organic water-soluble fertilizer on the growth，yieldand qualityof tomato.Theresultsshowed that foliar spraying of an organic water-soluble fertilizer derived from Chinese medicine residue promoted tomato plant growth and increased stem diameter. Among the treatments，the dilution showed the greatest effect on yield， producing 7 162.45 kg per 667 m2 -an increase of 10.06% -followed by the 1：700 dilution，which increased yield by 3.16% . Application of the 1： 1 OOo dilution significantly improved fruit quality： vitamin C content increased by 22.36% ，lycopene by 23.10% ，soluble sugar by 38.82% ，and soluble solids by 1.50% . Organic acid content decreased by 42.05% ，resulting in a higher sugar-acid ratio and enhanced flavor quality. The organic watersoluble fertilizer derived from Chinese medicine residue significantly improved tomato yield and quality when diluted at 1：1 000 ，and is therefore recommended for use in tomato cultivation.
