Introduction to HUANG Jianmei's Experience in Treating Oligomenorrhea Due to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome with the Kidney-Tonifying and Blood-Activating Method

Abstract：This article presents Professor HUANG Jianmei's clinical experience in treating oligomenorrhea due to polycystic ovary syndrome （PCOS）using the kidney-tonifying and blood-activating method.Professor HUANG Jianmei holds that kidneydeficiencyand bloodstasis constitute thepivotal pathogenesisof oligomenorrheain PCOS.Deficiency of kidney esence leads to scantyblood，and sluggish blood flow results in stasis thataccumulates in theuterus. Prolonged conditions lead to blood stasis，which produces delayed menstruation，impaired folliculardevelopment，and ovulatorydysfunction.Therefore，thecorestrategyisto tonifythe kidneyandactivateblood circulation.Professor HUANG employsthe self-formulated Baizi Tiaojing Decoction toallviateclinicalsymptoms，restore regular menstruation，and promote the maturation and release of follicles.
