Clinical Study on Combination of Chinese Medicine Hot Compress and Red Light Irradiation for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy of Qi-Yin Deficiency Complicated with Blood Stasis Type

Abstract:Objective:To observethe clinical effect of the combination of Chinese medicine hot compress and red light irradiationon diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)of qi-yin deficiency complicated with blood stasis type. Methods:A total of 80 DPN patients of qi-yin deficiency complicated with blood stasis typewho were treated in Pinghu Hospitalof Chinese Medicinefrom January 2O23to June 2024 wereselectedand dividedintothe study groupand the control group according to the random number table method,with 4O cases ineach group.Thecontrol group was treated with Epalrestat orally,and the study group was treated with Chinese medicine hotcompresscombined with red lightirradiation.The traditional Chinese medicinesyndrome scores,scores of Toronto Clinical Scoring System(TCS), levels of blood glucose indexes [fasting blood glucose (FBG)and 2 h postprandial blood glucose (P2hBG)],nerve conductionvelocity [motor nerve conduction velocity(MCV)and sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV)of common peronealnerveandtibial nerve],vibration perception threshold(VPT),hemorheologyindexes,clinical effectsand safety were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate was 95.00% (38/40) in the study group and 77.50% (31/40)in the control group,the difference being significant ( P
