Analysis of Teaching Methods for Shang Han Lun Incorporating the Philosophical Concepts of Substance and Function and the Pressure Reduction Approach to Dispelling Pathogens

Abstract：The clasic Chinese medical text Shang Han Lun（Treatiseon Cold Damage）presents its content in concise andsucinctclauses，making itchallenging for students with limited clinical experience to grasp its profound meanings.Intheclinical teaching of Shang Han Lun，the applicationof the philosophical concepts of "substance and function"and the "pressurereduction approach todispeling pathogens"can facilitate the integrationand permeationof Chinesemedicine and philosophy.This teaching method guides students to understand the pathogenesis of he six meridian diseases in Shang Han Lunand the principles offormula composition，thereby enhancing theircomprehension of the text and its clinical application.
