Summary of Acupoint Selection Patterns in the Acupuncture and xibustion Treat. ment for Atopic Dermatitis Based on Data Mining Technology

Abstract：Objective：To summarize the acupoint selection patterns in the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment foratopic dermatitis（AD）using data mining technology．Methods：Clinicalresearch literature on acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for AD from January1，2014，to May 31，2024，was retrieved from CNKI， SinoMed，Wanfang，VIP，and PubMed databases to construct an acupuncture and moxibustion prescription database for AD.Using Excel and SPSS statistical software，the frequency of acupoint use and meridian atribution were analyzed，and assciation rule and cluster analyses were conducted to summarize the acupoint selection paterns. Results：A total of 4Oclinicalresearch articles were included，with 40acupunctureand moxibustion prescriptions collcted，involving 39 acupoints and atotal usage frequencyof 185times.The topfive mostfrequentlyusedacupoints were Quchi（LI1） point，Xuehai（SPlO） point，Zusanli（ST36）point，Sanyinjiao（SP6） point，and Yinlingquan （SP9）point.The top five meridians were thespleen meridian of foot-Taiyin，large intestine meridianof handYangming，stomach meridian of fot-Yangming，conception vessel，andbladder meridian of fot-Taiyang. Asociation rule analysis showed strong associations between Quchi（（LI1） point and Xuehai（SP1O）point，as well as Quchi（LI1） point and Zusanli（（ST36）point.Cluster analysis of high-frequency acupoints divided theacupoints into three major categories．Conclusion：Acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for AD focuses on selecting acupoints from the hand and foot Yangming meridians and the spleen meridian of foot-Taiyin，with commonly used acupoints including Quchi（LI11）point，Xuehai（SP1O）point，and Zusanli（ST36）point，reflecting the therapeutic principles of dispelling wind， clearing heat， strengthening the spleen，and nourishing blood.
