Introduction of CHEN Jie's Experience in Treating Hemifacial Spasm After Facial Paralysis Based on Integrated Acupuncture Thinking

Abstract：This paper summarises and introduces CHEN Jie's clinical experience in treating hemifacial spasm after facial paralysis basedon ProfesorFUWenbin'sintegratedacupuncture thinking.CHEN Jie points outthat hemifacial spasmafter facial paralysis belongs to thecategory ofchannel sinew diseases in traditional Chinese medicine，and its occurrence isrelatedto deficiencyof healthyqi，qi stagnationand blood stasis，stirringof liver windand formationof sinew masses.Based on the integrated acupuncture thinking，CHEN Jie treats the disease in the following steps ： relaxing，warming and moxibustion.CHEN Jie uses anacupotomy torelax the facial and neck sinew masses， supplemented with warming-needle，heat-sensitive moxibustion on acupoints of Yangming meridianand Taiyang meridian，inorder to stimulate the transmission of meridian qi，so that qi canarrive at the disease location.
