Clinical Study on Transcutaneous Electrical Acupoint Stimulation Combined with Plantar Pressure-Based Feedback Training for Post-Stroke Hemiplegia

Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation combined with plantarpressure-based feedback training inthetreatmentof post-strokehemiplegiaanditsefectsonbalance function and lower extremity surface electromyography signals.Methods:A total of9O cases of patients with poststrokehemiplegiaadmited to WenzhouTCMHospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical Universityfrom January 2022 to January 2O23 were divided intothe control groupand the trial group using arandom number table method，with 45patients ineach group.Both groups took Aspirin Enteric-Coated Tablets.The control group received plantar pressure-based feedback training，andthe trial group received transcutaneous electricalacupointstimulation combined with plantar pressure-based feedback training.Both groups were treated for four weeks.After treatment，the clinical eficacy of the two groups was compared.Beforeandafter treatment，the two groups were compared in terms of balance function[the Berg Balance Function Scale（BBS）and the Five Times Sit-to-Stand TEST（FTSST）]，lower extremity surface electromyographysignals [root mean square (RMS）of surface electromyographysignals of the tibialis anterior muscle，rectus femoris muscle，and gastrocnemius muscle on the affcted side]，and lower extremity motor function [Fugl-Meyer Assessment Scale-Lower Extremity（FMA-LE）]，walking ability（step size diffrence and walking speed），and activities of daily living [Functional Independence Measure（FIM）scores]. Results:After treatment, the total effctive rate in the trial group was 93.02% （40/43），which was higher than the control group's 76.74% (33/ 43）.Both groups showed an increase in BBS scores compared to thatbefore treatment，with the trial group having a higher BBS score than the control group ( P
