Abstract：Through themethodofliteraturereview，thispaper combsthehistorical evolutionofforeign sports tourism research，andreviews theresearchofforeign sports tourism，inorder toprovide someenlightenmentfortheresearchof sports tourismin China.Itis foundthatforeignscholars have studiedtheimpactofsports tourismearlier thanChina，and theirrelated research isalso more in-depth and detailed，mainly including fiveaspects ∵ sports tourists，sports tourism impact，sports tourism promotion and marketing，sustainabledevelopment of sports tourism environment，and sports tourismrisk.Through theanalysisofforeignresearch topics，combined with theresearch trendandhotspotsof China's sports tourism，this paper draws the folowing enlightenmenton theresearchofChina's sports tourism fromthe aspects ofresearch objects，research methods，research contents，research perspectivesand theoretical construction：（1）we shouldnotonly focus ontheresearchof sports tourism with nationalcharacteristics，but also strengthen theresearchof sportstourismwith international characteristics；（2）Payattention to empirical research，comprehensively use multidisciplinaryresearch methods，andactivelyexploretheresearchmethodsysteminthisfield；（3）Tohighlightthe characteristicsofthe timesand China，focusingondiversification; （4）Carringout multidisciplinaryresearch，drawing on theresearch perspective of other disciplines ；（5）Draw on the advanced theoretical system of tourism and other disciplines，to build a theoretical systemof sports tourism itself.
