Research on the Application of Inverted AAO Process in Underground Municipal Domestic Sewage Treatment Plant

Abstract：To studytheapplication effectof inverted Anaerobic-Anoxic-Oxic （AAO）process inunderground municipal sewage treatmentplants，takingasewage treatmentplantinJinan，Shandongprovinceasanexample，theactualperforance and optimized design of the inverted AAO process in the removal of Chemical Oxygen Demand （COD），NH -N，Total Nitrogen （TN），and Total Phosphorus （TP）were analyzed indetail.Research hasshown thatthe invertedAAO process hassignificantadvantages inoptimizingdenitrificationandnitrogenremoval，enhancinganaerobicphosphorusrelease， and efcient aerobic phosphorus uptake.The efluent qualityofthe treatment plantis stableand meets the standard， with some indicators better than the Class I V waterstandard in the“Environmental Quality Standards for SurfaceWater” （GB 3838—2O02），whichverifies thereliabilityand promotion value of the inverted AAO processin improving sewage treatment efficiency and stability.
