Interaction between high-strength concrete and new mold materials and its enhancement of construction quality

Abstract: In this article, the interaction between high strength concrete and new mold materials is studied. In this study, the single variable control and orthogonal design were used to investigate the demoulding force, surface defect rate, compressive strength and interface transition zone (ITZ) structural characteristics of steel mold, FRP,CFRP and PU under different surface treatment methods. The results show that the demoulding force of PU die is reduced to 380N after polishing, which is about 69% lower than that of traditional steel die. Its surface defect rate is only 0.7% which is obviously better than that of untreated steel mold (4.2%) .Microstructure analysis shows that the ITZ porosity of PU die is the lowest, which is 7.2% ,and there are no obvious microcracks. In addition, the difference of 28d compressive strength of each group of specimens is less than 3% . This shows that the choice of mold materials has no obvious effect on the mechanical properties of concrete body. The research shows that optimizing mold materials and surface treatment methods can improve the forming quality of components and provide technical support for the engineering application of high performance concrete.
Key words: high-strength concrete; mold materials; demolding force; surface quality;interface transition zone (ITZ)
