Incorporating 3D thinking in surgical screwdriver checking moulds: an innovative and efficient checking approach for assessing validity and safety

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness and safety of a surgical screwdriver function checking mould incorporating 3D thinking in orthopaedic surgical screwdriver function testing,and to improve the testing efficiency with a view to optimizing the performance of this testing method. A total of 1 246 screwdrivers used in surgery were selected. According to the time of use, the control group was divided into two groups,621 pieces applied 8 times light source magnification detection method,and 625 pieces of the observation group applied homemade surgical screwdriver function checking mould detection method,comparing the functional effectiveness and safety of the two groups. The results showed that the functional effectiveness of surgical screwdrivers in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05 ),there was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of the security of the two groups ( P>0.05 ).

Overall,the integration of 3D thinking innovation homemade surgical screwdriver function checking mould can improve the effectiveness of surgical screwdriver function checking without affecting the safety of operation.
