Abstract: Asafamous scholarand outstanding literary theoristin thelate Qing Dynasty,Liu Xizai’saesthetic ideas ocupyan importantposition inthe historyofclasical Chinese aesthetics.ThecorecategoryofLiu Xizai'saestheticontology,“Dao”has sparkedextensivediscusions intheacademiccommunityduetoitsabsorptionofideasfromdifferentschoolsofthought through outhistory.LiuXizaiformedhisuniqueaestheticontologythroughin-depthexcavationandintegrationoftheConfucian“benevolenceandrighteousness”,Taoist“nature”and Buddhistand Zenculture,andmeanwhileabsorbedthe essenceofthephilosophy ofthe BookofChanges,realizingaprofoundinsightandperfectsummaryofthecategoryof“Tao”.LiuXizai’saestheticontolo gyofthe“Dao”categoryhas enriched Chineseclasicalaestheticthoughtwithitsprofoundculturalheritage,diverseideological integration,andgorousgicalonstruction,ndhsasoproidedimportantspiationforfuturetoreticalesearchdrtistic creation.
