Model Establishment and Practice Paths of China's Professional Sports League Governance Under the Theory of Social-Technical Systems

Abstract：Promoting the optimization of the governance structure of profesional sports leagues has become an inherent requirementforthehigh-qualitydevelopmentofprofessionalsportsinChina.BasedontheSocial-TechnicalSystems （STS）theory，through themethodsofliteraturereview，field investigationsand in-depth interviews，thisstudyseeks to establisha governance model of professional sports leaguesconforming to China's national conditionsand to propose practice paths for enhancing league governance.Itsystematically identifies three major dilemmas in league governance practicesincluding theunclearrightsandresponsibilitiesofmultiplesubjectsandprominentcontradictions，the misalignment between top-level strategicdesignandpracticedemands，andtheunderdevelopmentof thecompetitive performances and market systems construction.Accordingly，the study employs the STStheoryto conceptualize the governance systemas fourcore elementsof actors，structure，tasks and technology，while incorporating environmental factors to establish thegovernance model.The model emphasizesemerging technologiesas governance tols，and fosters deep integration with societyand technologyand facilitates a significant improvement ingovernance efectivene.Finally， thestudyproposes practice paths from four dimensions of fostering a favorable governance environment，strengthening the collaborationamong multiplesubjects，elevating overallcompetitivenessand advocating theconstructionof brandIP.It aims to promote structural transformation and upgrading of league governance through thedual driversof institutional innovationandtechnologicaladvancement，therebyofering both theoretical supportsandoperational guidance forthe sustainable high-quality development of China's professonal sports leagues.
