Influence of Adolescents’ Physical Activity Participation on Social Adaptability : Mediating Effect of Core Self-Evaluation

Abstract:To explore the impact mechanisms of physical activity participationonadolescents’socialadaptability,this study conducts a cluster sampling survey of 739 adolescents in Liaoning province using the Physical Activity Rating Scale (PARS-3),CoreSelf-EvaluationScaleand Social AdaptabilityScale.Theresultsrevealthesignificantpositivecorelations amongphysical activityparticipation,coreself-evaluation,and social adaptability,with coreself-evaluation demonstrating mediating efect between the other two variables.The study finds that physical activities facilitate iterative upgradingof core self-evaluation through providing successul experiences andsocial feedback,thereby enhancing social adaptability. Basedon these findings,suggestionsareproposed toestablisha multidimensional integratededucationsystemof “curiculum embedding-psychological evaluationoptimization-home,school and communitycollaboration”,to developindepth physical intervention modules,nd toconstrut social practice platforms byutilzing big dataandartificialinteligence technologies,in order to provide references for interventions targeting adolescents’social adaptability.
