Research on the IoT-Enabled Management Model for Water Quality MonitoringLaboratories

Abstract: [Purposes] The management level of water quality monitoring laboratories directly affects the accuracy and reliability of monitoring data.This study aims to addressthe continuous development of instrumentation and monitoring technologies,the scope of water quality monitoring has expanded.However,traditional laboratory management models suer from low operational efficiency,insufficient informatization,difficulty in real-time monitoring of laboratory environmental conditions,and extensive management practices.[Methods] This study proposes an IoT-based management model for water quality monitoring laboratories.By establishing a three-layer IoT architecture (comprising the perception layer, transmission layer,and application layer) and integrating IoT technologies such as sensors,RFID,and laboratory management platforms,this model achieves informatization and refined management in laboratories.[Findings] Theapplication of this technology has significantly improved laboratory operational efficiency and data accuracy, while reducing operational costs and personnel requirements.[Conclusions] IoT technology can effectively resolve the existing problems in current water quality monitoring laboratory management,thereby enhancing the level of laboratory management and work efficiency.
