Abstract: [Purposes] Against the backdrop of the rapid development of the global Internet of Things industry and intensified technological competition between China and the United States, this study aims to explore domestic alternatives to Low-Power Wide-Area Networks (LPWAN) to ensure the security of information infrastructure, promote industrial autonomy and controllbility, and provide a reference path for enhancing the global competitiveness of China's IoT industry chain.[Methods]By systematically reviewing domestic LPWAN technology solutions represented by TurMass, ZETA,TPUNB,and WIoTa, and conducting a multi-dimensional comparative analysis of indicators such as capacity, coverage, and power consumption of these domestic solutions while considering factors like technological autonomy and innovation, the industrial value and challenges of domestic alternative solutions are elucidated.[Findings]The study finds that the current international LPWAN technology landscape is characterized bya unipolar monopoly, posing a "supply chain disruption" risk to the domestic industry chain. However, domestic LPWAN technologies demonstrate significant advantages in transmission distance, power consumption, network capacity, and other aspects.[Conclusions] Domestic substitution needs to overcome the dual challenges of ecosystem fragmentation and insuficient market awareness.Addressing these challenges requires establishing unified standards through policy guidance and building a collaborative "chip-protocol-application" ecosystem.
