Abstract:Inthe modern steelindustry,thefurnace coil rolling millisakeyequipment for producing medium and thick plates.The surfacequalityofsteel plates is of vital importance,buttheproblemof iron oxide scale affcts the qualityof steel plates and thecompetitiveness ofenterprises.In the productionof the funacecoilrollng millofNanjing Ironand Steel Company,the problem of iron oxide scale breakage and shedding of steel plates with a thickness of ⩾16mm is prominent,which afects the surfacequalityand the benefits of the enterprise.This study analyzed the manifestations,hazardsand processfactors influencing thecrushing and shedding of iron oxidescale,and found that there were deficiencies inthe hating,roling,descaling and coling processes.Byoptimizing the heating temperature system,rolling process parameters,upgrading the descaling system,formulating arefined coling plan and implementing it inphases,the improvedoxidescale structure becomes denser,theadhesion is enhanced,andthesurface qualityand production indicators of the steel platearesignificantly improved,providing technical reference forthe industry.Inthe future, it can further develop in the direction of intelligence and low consumption.
