Abstract:As an importantrawmaterialfor industriessuchasmarine,transportation,energy,and pressure vesels,the mechanical properties and dimensional accuracyof hot-rolled plates and stripshave alwaysbeen important indicators for evaluating their quality. However, with the continuous transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industrytowards high-end,end manufacturing users havealsoput forward more stringent requirements forthesurface qualityof steel.Due to surfacequalitydefects,a large numberof steel products produced bysteel enterprises havebeen downgradedorscrapped,bearinghighermanufacturingosts.Theimportantfactoraffectingthesurfacequalityofsteel is the indentationdefect ofoxidescale.Surface oxide scale isan inevitable product inthe production process ofhot-roled platesandisalsooneof theimportantfactorsaffectingsurface quality.Inresponse tothecurrntsituationof ironoxide scale indentation defects inthe production processof hot-rolled plates,this articleanalyzes the qualityof descaling water,high-pressuredescaling pressure,the morphologyand formation mechanism ofiron oxide scale,and studies the control of slab heating and roling proces. Measures to reduce the qualitydefects of iron oxide scale indentation on the surface are proposed,and corrsponding optimization plans and preventive measures are formulated based on the analysis results, effectively improving the surface quality of hot-rolled plates.
