Special Equipment Rapid Response System for Local Crowd Protection Based on AI Vision

Abstract：The hydraulictailgate isaspecialpieceofequipmentthatcomes withtrucks.Inloadingandunloadingoperations，it presentssafetychalengessuchaslarge blindspotsandrare incidentsofmisoperationthatcandamage goodsandharmpeople.This paperproposesanear-fieldcrowd protectionrapidresponsesystemforhydraulictailgatesbasedonAIvision.Therapidresponsesystem inovativelyintegratestheYOLOtargetdetectionalgorithmwiththeRS485bussafetyinterlockmechansm，emploingahazardretentionstrategy（1.5s）andlow-latencycommunicationoptimizationtechnology.Thesystemachievsallweathrdetectionthroughdualchanelideo procesing（RGBandIR）andensurescommunicationreliabilityusing theCRC16-MODBUSprotocol.Researchresults indicatethat hesystemsignificantlyreduces end-to-enddelay（P50/P95），shortens emergencybrakingdstance，andkepsfalsestop andmissedstoprates withinacceptablelimits，providinganengineeringsolutionforactivesafetyprotectionofhydraulictailgates.
