Abstract:Inthecontextof therapid developmentofthe Internetand the surge innetwork traffc,VPN has become an important means to ensure data security.Aiming atthe traditional IPSec VPN systembased on Linux kernel protocol stack, thedatathroughput botteneckcausedbyfrequent interuptionandcontextswitching inhigh-trafficenvironment,this paper proposes an optimization scheme based on DPDK and VPP.The scheme uses DPDK to bypassthe kernel protocol stack to achieve high-speed packetcapture andforwarding inuser mode.Combining VPP to builduser-mode encryptionand decryption andprotocolconversion architecture.StrongSwanVPPcommunication plug-in is developed tooptimize IPSec security association management andkeydistribution process.Theexperimentalresultsshow thatthe proposed scheme achieves a significantimprovementindatathroughputandasignificantreductionintransmisiondelayinGigabitand1Gigabitnetwork environmentsrespectively,while maintaining thesecurityofdata transmision.Thepure softwareoptimizationschemeprovides afeasibleengineeringimplementationpathforbuildingahigh-performance,low-latency,secureandreliableISecVPsystem.
