On the Chinese Translation of“ Zero Report”：Standardizing Terminology Translation from the Perspective of Communication Studies// ZHU Zhiyuan

Abstract：“Zeroreport"isacriticalterminpublichealth，indicatingtatnocasesof specifieddiseassoccurredduringarporting period.However，itsChinesetranslation“零报告"（lingbaogao）isoftenmisinterpretedas“noreport"or“lackofreport"incommunication.Thispaperexaminesthesemanticdiferencesbetwee“zero"and“零"andanalyzestherationalebehindthecurretChinese translationof“zeroreport"Improvementsuggestionsarealsproposedtofacilitatebeterunderstandingandciulationofister. Furthermore，ecommendationsareoferedforthestadardizationof terinologytranslationfromacommunicationsudiesperspective， aiming tocontributetoboththepracticalapplicationandtheoreticalresearchof terminologytranslationstandardizationinChina.
