Abstract：Basedonareviewof thecurentstatusand problemsoftermtranslationresearchweexaminetheimpactofLargeLanguage Models（LLMs）onboththepracticalandtheoreticalexplorationoftermtranslation.Wfoundthat，duetothespecialityofterinolo gy，curent tertranslationrseachprimarilyfousesonpracticaludiesofdisciplie-spcifictetransationandlackscopr siveandsystematicinvestigationsintotheconstructiooftermsystemandtheoryoftermtranslation.WethinkLLMsoptiiesmultilingual termtranslationmanagementandetrievalpromotesthein-depthdvelopmentof tesystemandtheoryoftertraslation， andprovidesnewtheoreticalperspectivesontermtranslationresearch.Inthefuture，researchersshouldfullutilizeLLMsand integratetetranslationwithteorsfroothrdiscipliesonceratingontheessentialaributesandkeycharacteristsof te translation，so as to steer the research toward the ontology of term translation.
