AbstractIn the context of globalization and rapid development of artificial intellgence,it is crucialfor applied undergraduate foreign language courses to cultivate students' cross-cultural thinking abilities.The article analyzes the importantroleofusing artificial intellgence technology incultivating students'cross-cultural thinking ability inforeign language courses,including promoting multidimensional interaction,deepening cultural understanding,cultivating forward thinking,andexpandingglobalperspectives.It proposes usingartificialintellgencetostimulatestudents'intrinsic learming motivation,buildinterdisciplinaryknowledge networks,promoteculturalreflectionandintrospection,cultivate cultural innovationability,andexpandvirtual communityinteraction,inorder toimprovethequalityofforeignlanguage teaching in applied undergraduate colleges and cultivate versatile talents that meet the needs of the times.
