AbstractIn the teaching processofmaterials mechanics,students arestillunable to solve complex problems such as thestabilityofcomposite membersanddynamicload problems.Thearticleanalogizes therodwiththespring familiarto studentsthroughexamples,anduses thespringmodeltosolveandanalyzetheenergydistributionproblemoftherodunder impactloadusingtheenergy method.Thisnotonlyhelps studentsto haveadeeperunderstandingofcomplex impact problems in material mechanics,butalsohascertain teaching significance forstudents totrytoestablish simplified mechanical models to analyze and solve impact problems in engineering.
