Abstract:Thecontentofheavy metalsinsurfacesedimentsinthedumpingareaofShacheng harborwasanalyzed.Thecontentsof Hg ,As,Cu,Pb,Cd,Cr,Zn,sulphideandorganiccarbonal metthequalitystandardofthefirstkindofmarinesediments.Principalcomponentanalysisshowsthatthedistributionofheavymetalsinsurfacesedimentsinthedumpingareaof Shachengportisgreatlyafectedbytheexternaldumping.Thepotentialecologicalriskindex methodwasusedtoases theecologicalrisk.Theresultsshowedthatthedumpingareaof ShachengharborwaspolutedbyCdtoacertainextent,andtheCdcontentintheinvestigated areahadreachedthemoderateharmdegre.Theresultsofthisstudyprovideabasisforthescientificdecision-makingofthemanagementdepartmentsinthedumpingareaofShachengport.
