Abstract:To address the issue of lost turning features caused by sole reliance on distance thresholds in traditional Sliding Window (SW) algorithms for fishing vessel AIS trajectory feature extraction,this paper proposes an improved SW algorithm incorporating dual thresholds of distance and angle. This method dynamically calculates spatial distance deviation and heading angle changes of trajectory points within a sliding window,screening key feature points through dual constraints. Experimental results demonstrate that the improved SW algorithm significantly outperforms the Douglas-Peucker (DP) algorithm and traditional SW methods in fishing vessel trajectory feature extraction,providing a more scientifically robust approach for identifying fishing vessel operational behaviors.
