[Abstract]Asamajorandrepresentativebioactivecompoundderived from plantsof the Ranunculaceaefamily，Paeoniflorin hasdemnstratedawiderangeofpharmacologicaleffctsinthepreventionandtreatmentofcardiovasculardiseases（CVDs）， includingantiatheroscleroticantimyocardialinfarctionantiromboticactivities，aswellastheameliorationofyadial ischemiareperfusioninjury.However，itslinicalapplicationishinderedbypoorstabilitylowsolubityrapidmetabolisand limitedoralbioavailability.Toaddressthesechallenges，avarietyofoveldrugdeliverysystemshavebeendevelopedinecent years，suchasmicroemulsions，liposomes，phospholipidomplexes，nanoparticles，andhdrogels.Someofthesefoulatioshave shownpromisingtisue-targetingpropertiesandtherapeuticeficacyinanimalstudies.Thispapersummarizesthecardioprotective efectsofPaeoniflorinonCVDsandoutlinesrecentadvancesinformulationoptimization，aiming toprovideareferenceforits further pharmaceutical development and clinical translation.
