[Abstract]Objective Tobuildthe systematicmultimodalcase-based teaching model intercultural communicationinthe fieldmedicine(TCM)anddiscussitsefectsonclasroompractice.MethodsEnglishmajors fromtheintake2O19servedasthecontrolgroupandweretaughtusingthetraditional teaching modelWhile thosefromtheintake2O2Owereasignedtotheexperimental group,whereamultimodalcase-basedteaching modelfocusingon interculturalcommunicationTCMandinvolvingteacher-studentcoconstructionwasintroduced.Dferencesinacademicscores, enthusiasm,andleaingoutcomesbetweenthetwogroupswereanalyzedthroughachievementstatistics,interviewsandreflective teachingdataResultsAftertheintervention,theexperimentalgroup'sscoreswasstatisticallydiferentfromthatthecontrol group ( P <0.05).Theexperimental groupwasbeterthan thecontrol group in terms learming enthusiasmand learningeffects. Conclusion Themultimodalcase-based teaching model interculturalcommunicationproposedinthisstudypromotesleamers interculturalcommunicationcompetence inthefeld TCMand enriches theteachingresources,whichis worthreplicating.
