[Abstract]Objective Tobuildthe systematicmultimodalcase-based teaching model intercultural communicationinthe fieldmedicine（TCM）anddiscussitsefectsonclasroompractice.MethodsEnglishmajors fromtheintake2O19servedasthecontrolgroupandweretaughtusingthetraditional teaching modelWhile thosefromtheintake2O2Owereasignedtotheexperimental group，whereamultimodalcase-basedteaching modelfocusingon interculturalcommunicationTCMandinvolvingteacher-studentcoconstructionwasintroduced.Dferencesinacademicscores， enthusiasm，andleaingoutcomesbetweenthetwogroupswereanalyzedthroughachievementstatistics，interviewsandreflective teachingdataResultsAftertheintervention，theexperimentalgroup'sscoreswasstatisticallydiferentfromthatthecontrol group （ P <0.05）.Theexperimental groupwasbeterthan thecontrol group in terms learming enthusiasmand learningeffects. Conclusion Themultimodalcase-based teaching model interculturalcommunicationproposedinthisstudypromotesleamers interculturalcommunicationcompetence inthefeld TCMand enriches theteachingresources，whichis worthreplicating.
