[Abstract]ObjectiveToobserve theclinical eficacyof acupuncture therapycombinedwithrehabilitation training in children with autism spectrum disorder （ASD） and its effects on serum glutamate （Glu） and γ -aminobutyric acid （GABA）.Methods Atotalof6OchildrenwithASDadmitedtothePediatricRehabilitationDepartmentoftheFirstHospitalofHunanUniversityof ChineseMedicinefrom April2O2 to June2O24were selectedandrandomly dividedintoanobservationgroupandacontrol group accordingtotheandomnumbertablemethod，with3Ocasesineachgroup.Theontrolgroupreceivedconventionalhabiliation training，whiletheobservationgroupreceivedacupuncturetherapyinaditiontotheconventionalrehabilitationtraining.The acupuncturepointsselected includedheadacupoints[Baihui （GV20），Yintang （EX-HN3），Shenting （GV24），Benshen （GB13），and

Sishencong （EX-H1）]，aswellaspointsonthehartmeridianandpericardiummeridian[Shenmen（H7），Tongli（H5），ohi （HT3），NeiguanC6），ndDing（C7）Tetreamentadmiisteredoedailysixiespereekwith4weeksasooef treatment，andatotalof threeconsecutivecourses.TheChidhoodutismRatingScale （CARS）scores，DevelopmentalQuotint（DQ） scoreoftheGesellDevelopmentalDiagnosis Scale，SocialMaturityScale（SM）score，andchanges inserum GluandGABAlevels werecompared betweenthetwogroupsbeforeandaftertreatmenttoevaluatetheclinical eficacy.Results Comparedwiththose before treatment， the CARS scores of children in both groups decreased after treatment （ P <0.01），and the observation group had lower scores than the control group （ Pe <0.01）. The DQ and SM scores increased after treatment （ P <0.01），and the observation group had higher scores than the control group （ P <0.01）.After treatment， the serum Glu and GABA levels in both groups increased compared with before treatment （ P
