[Abstract]Atherosclerosis (AS)isavascularpathologicalconditioncharacterizedbychronic inflammatoryresponses. Cuproptosis,aforofcelldeathinducedbyexcessiveintracellarcopperionacumulationiscloselyassociatedwitheset andprogressionofAS.ItparticipatesinASdevelopmentbypromotinglipiddepositioninflammatoryinfiltrationabomal proliferationofsmothmuselecells,andoxidativestressreactions.Basedonthetheoryof"bloodvesselstagnationand accumulation"ourteamproposesthatthepathogenesisofASinvolvesdeficiencyofYuan-primordialqi,leadingtobloodstasis;
prolongedstagnationtransforingintotoxins,causingpathologicalchanges;andtheconglomerationofstasisandtoxins,esultingin theformationofaccumulations.GuidedbythistheoryandintegratingthemechanisticroleofcuproptosisinAS,atherapeutic aproachisadvocatedfortreatingAS,whichinvolvestonifyingdeficiencyandeliminatingstasis,activatingbloodirculatioto removetoxins,andsoftening hardnessandresolvingaccumulations.Thisstudytakes"bloodvesselstagnationandaccumulation"as theentrypoint,elucidatestheTCootatiosofuproptosismechanismsinASudertedanceofth"deficiencysis toxin"theoryandexploresTCMdiagnosticandtherapeuticstrategies.Theaimistoprovidetheoreticalfoundationsand differentiated treatment strategies for TCM interventionsin AS.
