Abstract：TakingtheIliRiverVallyinXinjiangasanexample，thetradeoffandsynergydynamicsoflandusefunctionsfro200 to2020wereexploredatthegridscaleandthezoningoflandusefunctionswascariedoutbyGeographicallyWeightedRegresion （GWR）andthe Self-OrganizingFeature Map（SOM）network.Theresultsshowedthattheproductionfunctionandliving functionof landuseintheIliRiverVallyweresignificantlynhanced，extendingfromtheurbanareatoteoutside.Theecologicalfunctionde creased firstandthenincreased，withhighervaluespredominantlyconcentratedinthesouthernandnorthernmountainousregions characterizedbyfavorablenaturalenvironmentalconditions.Theinteractionsamongdiferentlndusefunctionsdemonstratedotable spatio-temporalhterogeneitySpecificallythproduction-lvingfunctionelationshipwasprimarilysynergistic，thoughtestrgth ofsynergyhadgaduallydiminishdoertie；inomparison，theproductioecologicalandlivingecologicalrelationshipsrepredominantlycharacterizedbytradeofs，withtheirintensitiesfirstincreasingandthendecreasing.Acomprehensivezoningsheme fromgridscaletotowshipscaleasconstructed.Finally，fivefunctionalareaswereformedatthetownshipsale，includingtekey developmentareaofproductionfunction，themoderatedevelopmentareaoflivingfunction，thecoreconservationareaofecological function，theimportantmaintenanceareaofcompositefunctionandthepotentialimprovementareaofcomprehensivefunctioBased onregionalrsourcedowmentsproprateptiatiosuggestiosrepropoedfodifrentfuctioalareastrovdetific reference for land space planning in arid and semi-arid areas.
