Recent advances in understanding the relationship between HbA1c variability and diabetic retinopathy in type 2 diabetesmellitus

[Abstract]Diabetic retinopathy（DR）is the most common typeof diabetic microvascularcomplicationsandoneof the most commonandimportantcausesofvisualimpaimentandblindnessinadults.Glycosylatedemoglobin（HbAlc）variabilityishemost commonlyusedindicatortoreflectlong-temglycemicvariability.Inrecentyears，anincreasingnumberofstudieshavefoundthat HbA1cvariabiltyisasocatedwithdabeticmicrovascularcomplicationsandalsohasanimpactonthedevelopmentofDRinpatints withtype2diabeteselitus.Terefore，thisarticlereviewstherelatioshipandpotentialpatogenesisetweeHAlcvarblitynd DR inpatients withtype2diabetes melitus toprovideareferenceforclinicaltreatmentand prognosisimprovementofDRinpatints with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
