Abstract Toaddress thechallenges faced intheconstruction of smart mines,such asinsuffcientcommunicationnetwork bandwidth,sigiicatrasmissndelaysnddiliiultitemcrdation,thisparalysteplcaolued implementationpathwaysof5GtchologyLeveragingtethicalcaracteristicsof5Ginludinglowlatencyigelblit suportfrmassivedeviceconnecivity,tepaperexploresitsintegratedapplicationinkeyscenariossuchasintelligentmingand mineral processing,productionscheduling,emergencymanagement,unmannedvehicles,andremoteoperationandmaintenancein undergroundmines.Onthisbasis,thestudyfurtherproposesdevelopmentpathsforsmartmines,includingvisualmanagementand controlbasedondigitaltwnsanddatadrivendecisionmakingempoweredbybigdataandartficialintellgence.Italsopoitsoutthe ongoingchalengesineasliketedeplymentofudergroundqipment,achevingompreensivesignalcoverage,andoatioal maintenancecosts.Theresearchoncludesthat5Gtechnologyasakeyeablingechnologywillprovidethecorenetworksrtfor building safe, efficient, and green smart mines.
