Process Optimization and Renovation Design of a Lead-Zinc-Silver Concentrator

Abstract Toaddressissues includingundersized equipment,complex processflow,andsignificant fluctuations inproduction indicatorsatalead-zinc-silverconcentrator,aprocessoptimizationandrenovationdesignwascariedoutwiththegoalof improving both technical performance and economic benefits. A“two-stage closed-circuit crushing + ball milling” process was adopted to achieve a crushed product size of -15 mm and increasing grinding fineness to 70% passing -2OO mesh. The separation process retained preferentialflotationbutwassimplifiedbyreducingthenumberofsavengingstagesforlead,zincandsulfurtotwothreandone respectively.ditioalygerflotatiocellsereroduced,wateingpentaadedndplatltsd Afterrenovation,theconcentratorachievedastableprocesingcapacityof150Ot/d.Keyoutcomesincludeanincreaseinlead concentrate grade from 40.10% to 45.12% , zinc recovery from 84.25% to 86.21% ,and sulfur recovery from 40.84% to 52.48% . These improvementswereaccompaniedbyenhancedoperationalstabilityasaferworkingenvionment,andsignficantlyelevatedonomic benefits.
