Abstract Aiming attheoccurrence stateand miningtechnicalconditions of the mainorebodyinalarge open-pit mine，this researchsystematicallyevaluatedthefeasibilityofopen-pit mining.Basedontechnical-economicandslopeparameters，optimization designoftheboundarywascariedoutusing3Dminingsoftware.Bysettngdiferentpricecoeficients，aserisofnestedpitboudary alternatives weregenerated，fromwhichtheoptionwiththebesteconomicbenefitandminingeficiencywasselected.Combinedwith theore/rockquantitiesandgradedataofeachbenchwithinthefinalboundary，areasonableproductionscalewasdemonstratedfrom theperspectivesofresourcequantity，grade，and miningcost.Furthermore，aphasedminingstrategywasproposedtoensurethe sustainableutilizationofmineralresources.Theresearchresultsprovidedecision-makingsupportforthescientificdevelopmentof his mine and serve as a valuable reference for similar mines.
