Abstract
Food standards serve as the cornerstone of Chinese food safety regulatory system,influencing the compliance boundariesand marketorder for food enterprises in their productionand operations.Currently, the Chinese food standard system is centered around mandatory food safety standards,while also encompassing various food standards established by other central government departments,local governments,industryassociations,and enterprises.Drawing onenforcement practicesand typicalcases, thisarticle systematicallyelaboratesontheessence of foodstandards, ex ploresthedifferenttypesand distinctionsamong standards,andanalyzes theselectionandapplication offood standards.Additionally,this articlesummarizes therisksand responsibitiesassociated with food standards,including the determination of criminalcharges,civil compensationdisputes,and keyareasofadministrative penalties.Finaly,itproposes thatenterprises should understandand comply withallmandatory food standards,aswellas formulateand implement moreadvanced standardsas necessary,inorder toachieve the dual objectives of isk prevention andcompetitivenessenhancement.
