Abstract

Againstthebackdropof escalating globalfoodsecuritychallenges,mudflatshelfish,asavitalcomponentof the“blue granary”strategy,hold significant strategic importance for safeguarding national food security through the sustainable development of their aquaculture industry.Basedon the perspective of the broad foodconcept,thispapersystematicallyanalyzes keyfoodsafetyriskchallenges confrontingmudflatshelfish aquaculture in China.Focusing oncore dimensions suchas intensive resource utilization,high-quality industrydevelopment,ecological environmentalprotection,andproducer interestprotection,itdelvesintothe impactsofkeysafetyriskfactors including heavymetalpollution,frequentdiseaseoutbreaks,andbottlenecks indetection technology.Theresearch demonstrates that enhancing theecologicalbenefitsandfoodsafety levelsof the mudflat shelfsh industrycan beeffectivelyachieved through innovativeecologicalaquaculture models,the construction of a whole-chain qualitycontrol system,strengthening technological innovation in the seed industry,and improving policy support mechanisms.These integrated strategies provide robust support for the“Blue Granary”development.
