Abstract The field experiment was conducted to study the effects of γ -polyglutamic acid and nitrogen(N) on the agronomic traits,yield, quality and nitrogen use efficiency(NUE) of sesame.The results showed that the combination of γ -polyglutamic acid and different N rates increasedthe plant heightand fruit axis length ofsesame,reduced the sputumpositionand theyelowtips,and increased by 7 . 5 % - 1 7 . 2 % and (20 1 7 . 5 % - 3 5 . 7 % for the 1O0-grain weight andthe yieldof sesamerespectively;the sesamequality(such as oil content,protein,sesamin and sesamolin) at the N application were better compared to γ -polyglutamic acid application. There was no significant difference in sesame quality between the application of 120 and . Increased N application rate increased the N fertilizer contribution rate and N agronomic utilizationrate,utdreasedteUEndartalprductivityeNUE,silavlablendlableKontentreicreasduderhlica tion of γ -polyglutamic acid. Considering the synergistic effect of arsenic nitrogen fertilizer and γ -polyglutamic acid,the effect of the combined with γ -polyglutamic acid application was better,can be applied in sesame production.
