AbstractTo explore the effctsof nitrogen （N），phosphorus （P），and potassium （K）ratiofertilizationon the growth and developmentof Camellia peteloti seedlings and to screenoutan appropriate fertilization formula，this studyused one-year-old Camelia petelotiiseedlings as experimental materials and the treatment without applying any fertilizer as thecontrol （CK）.A 3-factor 3-level L9 （ 3s ）orthogonal experimental design was adopted to analyze the increments of plantheight，ground diameter，leaf length，leaf widthand biomassof seedlingsunder thefertilization treatments of N fertilizer（N1，2 g/plant;N2，4 g/plant;N3，6g/plant），Pfertilizer（P1，4 g/plant;P2，8g/plant;P3，12g/plant）and K fertilizer（K1，1g/plant;K2，2g/plant; K3，3g/plant）.Theresultsshowedthatfertilizationcouldsignificantlypromote thegrowth of Camellia petelotii seedlings and the accumulation of biomass.The plant height，ground diameter and biomassofCamellia petelotii seedlings were allimproved to varying degres compared with CK.The height growth of Camellia petelotii seedlings treated with T6 （N2P3K1） was the greatest，increasing by 76.05% compared with CK.The ground diameter increment of T3 （N1P3K3） treatment was the largest， increasing by 83.46% compared with CK. The leaf length and leaf width increments of T8 （N3P2K1） treatment were the largest， increasing by 32.87% and 53.21% （204 respectivelycomparedwith CK.The biomass of Camelia petelotiiseedlings treated withT3was thelargest，which was 100% higher than thatof CK.Overall，theoptimal fertilization formula suitable for the growthof Camelia peteloti seedlings is T3，thatis，applying 2 gof nitrogen fertilizer perplant，12 gof phosphorus fertilizer per plantand3g of potassium fertilizerper plant.Theresultsof this experiment provide a reference for the cultivation of strong Camellia petelotii seedlings in related regions.
