AbstractTo identifyhigh yieldingand high qualitymedium season indica ricevarieties suitable for cultivation in Tuanfeng County，Huangng，Hubei Province，a comparative trial wasconducted with 2O varieties，including Luohongyou l564and Yiliangyou 311.Their growth duration，agronomic traits，resistance，and yield performance were systematically evaluated.The growth duration of the varietiesranged from 115 to 143 days.1O varieties，including Yiliangyou 311 and Shengliangyouluojiazhan，exhibited a moderate growth periods ranging from 127 to133 days. In terms of agronomic traits，plant heightvaried from 110.1 to135.3cm.Most varieties，such as Luohongyou 1564， displayd compact plant architecture，vigorous growth，uniform stands，and strong lodging resistance.Noneof the varieties showed bacterial leaf blight，and leaf blast incidence was low.Yield ranged from 7 579.5 to 12 331.5kg/hm2 with Changliangyou 8O3achieving thehighestyield.Thecomprehensiveselectionof varieties withgood fieldgrowth， good diseaseresistance，and high yield，aswellasexcelent field performance，includes Shengliangyouluojiazhan， Wanfengyousizhan，Changliangyou 8O3，Quanyou1606，Hualiangyou919，and Longdao No.3.This study providesa scientific basis for promoting and deploying medium indica rice varieties in the region.
