AbstractThis investigation mainlyadopts the methodof lineinvestigation，and combines field investigation， sample plotinvestigation，individualtreinvestigation，literaturereview，andinterviews withinformedpeopletoistin the investigation.Itanalyzes the types，quantities，anddistribution statusof wild foresttrees，colectedand preserved species，cultivatedandutilized species，ancient and famous trees，rareand protected forest and grasspecies，superior stands and superior individual trees，as well as herbaceous species and other forest and grass germplasmresources in Jieshou City，AnhuiProvince.Theresultsshowthat46kindsofwildforestresourcessuchasGinkgobiloba，Magnolia grandiflora and Camphora oficinarum are recorded; 5 kinds of germplasm resources such as Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Wanhuail'，Quercusacutissima，Koelreuteriabipinnata，and‘integrifoliola’arecollctedand preserved;13Okindsof forest and grass germplasm resources such as Metasequoia glyptostroboides，Platycladus orientalis，and Pinus bungeana are cultivatedandutilized; 43ancient and famous tree species such as Pistacia chinensis，Ailanthus altisima，and Ehretiaacuminata arerecorded; 6 kinds of rare and protected forest and grassspecies such as Taxus wallchiana var. mairei，Eucommiaumoides，andZelkoaserrataarerecorded;4excellentstandsand1Oexcellentindividualtreesae colected; and 92 kinds of herbage germplasm resources such as Equisetum ramosissimum， Nymphaea tetragona and Hemerocallis fulva arerecorded.Based on the distribution of resources，measuressuch asestablishing in situ preservationrepositories，off-site preservation repositories，forest germplasmresource databases，and strengthening the protection of rare and endangered plants have been proposed.This paper provides a reference for establishing an information management system for forest and grass germplasmresources in the research area and scientifically formulating long-term protection and utilization plans for forest and grass germplasm resources.
